Individual Art Therapy

I provide one on one art therapy where the whole hour will be devoted to focusing on yourself through art making and reflection.

I offer art therapy online or in your home.

Online:

Virtual art therapy has proven to be equally effective as in person sessions. You would supply your own art materials. They do not have to be expensive and the art therapist can provide you with a list, or if you live locally, make up a kit for you.

You need to have a space that is private or made private for the duration of the session to maintain confidentiality. Ideally a space where you can make a bit of mess. You need to have a computer with zoom installed.

In person art therapy:

If you live in Greater Vancouver I provide in person sessions for children, youth or adults in your own home. I will bring all the supplies. All You will need is a clear work surface.

Supervision

I am currently offering Supervision to Professional Art Therapists.

I have experience supervising art therapy students in my work at VGH in the inpatient psychiatric units where I run art therapy groups.
I enjoy using a feminist collaborative approach.

I have taken 2 Supervision courses led by Monica Carpendale and Nicole Le Bihan.

I like to offer a safe space for practitioners to reflect on the work they are doing and to bring any concerns which may be explored through art and/or discussion.

I strive to use decolonizing and inclusive practices.

Creative Process Groups

I offer a 6-week creative process group for women including self identified and gender fluid women. This is for women who wish to start a regular art practice in their lives or wish to create a body of work.

This is not a therapy group though making art can be therapeutic in itself.

Perhaps you know you have creative potential but do not know where to start or perhaps you already make art and want some continuity and ways to accrue related pieces to display?

This course will cover getting started, creating and sustaining themes in work, making a series of work and making art that is meaningful to you.

It will also be a place to share with and be inspired by others in the group.

Creative Process Groups $290.00 for 6 two hour sessions.
